In Mexico and abroad, products made in Tulum are synonymous with world-class quality. Backed by the talent, creativity, and innovation of men and women: artisans, artists, entrepreneurs, traders, and producers - indigenous, local, national, and foreign - who work hard in the Mayan Caribbean region to design and manufacture unique, durable, and reliable premium items.

On February 24, 2021, the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property authorized the Municipality of Tulum to use the trademark "MADE IN TULUM". The Municipality is the owner of the trademark.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE?
The purpose of the brand is promoting products manufactured in Tulum, Quintana Roo; promoting services from Mayan artisans in Tulum, Quintana Roo and advertising handicrafts of all kinds made in Tulum, Quintana Roo.

SUCCESS STORIES
UNRAVELING COURSE
20 shawls were presented for the first time in Bacalar using the Unraveling technique. These pieces are the result of a one month course taken by 20 artisans from the communities of Yaxché and Chanchen. Tulum will be implementing this Unraveling technique, as artisans from these communities have decided to learn new techniques.
V STATE TEXTILE CONTEST "CHUUY K'KAAB" 2022
Chetumal was the venue for the machine embroidery innovation contest, with the participation of contestants from the Mayan zone. The first place in the innovation garment category with machine embroidery was awarded to Artisan Sara May Canche from the community of Hondzonot, highlighting Tulum municipality for the great talent of women artisans from the Mayan zone.
